Ideal 5260 Guillotine
IR Light Barrier in the Work Area
An IR light beam safety curtain on the front table ensures efficient and safe cutting and trimming with the Ideal 5260 Guillotine. Additional safety is provided by the transparent safety cover on the rear table.
Easy-cut
Patented EASY-CUT activating bars: A cut can be executed conveniently by means of the patented EASY-CUT blade activating bars, which guarantee a safe two-hand operation.
Touchpad
Extremely convenient and easy-to-use: Electronic control module for the power backgauge with multilingual touch pad. A maximum of 99 programs can be stored, each with 99 steps. Also useful: the pre-programmed DIN sizes and the automatic memory for repeat cuts.
Electronic Hand Wheel
Electronic hand wheel for manual backgauge positioning with infinitely variable speed control (from very slow to very fast).
Optical Cutting Line
LEDs provide a bright, durable optical cutting line that shows where the cut will be made. This helps to align cutting marks precisely for accurate cuts.
Precise Positioning
Two side lays each on front and rear tables and the precise backgauge allow exact positioning even for small paper stock.
Safe and Simple
The “SCS” package extends to servicing such as changing the blade. There is no need to remove any machine casing. An easy to handle blade-changing device provides a covering of the cutting edge and a safe hook-in device for the blade carrier. By locating and holding the unbolted blade, this device guarantees quick and risk-free blade replacement.

SCS – Safety Package
The Ideal 5260 guillotine has a “SCS” safety package ensures absolute operational safety during cutting and servicing. Central elements of “SCS” are the transparent safety guards for the working area, and the covers over the rear tables of all guillotines. IDEAL office guillotines feature pivoting guards on the front table. These lock themselves mechanically or electrically during cutting. For the bigger guillotines, electronically controlled light beam guards provide total operational safety. Upon entering the cutting zone or lifting the guard, the cutting process is immediately interrupted – a disc brake stops the blade instantly, and the blade is automatically returned to its safe position.
Further unique features of the “SCS” safety package for the electric guillotines are the patented IDEAL safety drive, the tamper-proof 24-volt controls, main switch, safety lock with key, and the truly two-handed operation with synchronised activator buttons. Manually operated guillotines require the release of a safety catch before the cutting lever can be lowered, ensuring two-handed operation. The “SCS” package extends to servicing such as changing the blade or cutting stick.
